Pastor Lawson was born and raised in Minnesota. He received His two-year degree from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato MN. From there He attended Mankato State University and received a Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance. He then went on to attend Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary and graduated in June 2002 with a Master of Divinity. He received His first call to St. Paul, Escondido, CA, and was ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry on September 1, 2002. He served St. Paul for seventeen years until being installed as Pastor of Bethany and Concordia in August 2019.
Pastor Lawson and his wife Kristen were married in 1998. They have three children.
